An early model year A8, one owner with 80,000 miles. Let me elaborate more on why this is awesome.

1. Those wheels. They become very shiny, very very almost mirror like shiny when polished.

2. It is finished in a subtle shade of purple. Purple is cool, right?

3. It’s a Teutonic barge with all wheel drive and a potent when prodded 4.2 liter V8 engine making 300hp.

4. There are many different ways that the seats can go.

5. It’s got “Audi space Frame.”

6. It has heated rear seats and four memory settings.

7. Alpine CD changer and Bose audio. (Which may just be average quality, my A4 has Bose audio.)

8. It’s only $4,900!

A4 has 140k. No issues whatsoever. PO had no issues at all other than wear items. Eg: Timing belt, brakes.

Statistically, you got lucky! Doesn’t mean they are generally reliable (Or maybe your just the only owners who maintain their VAGs?)

Regardless, not really trying to start anything. VAGs just bore me, personally. Even the R8. Some people feel the same about Acuras all looking like Hondas. Of course, when I mention my Hondas making it to 140k without issue you generally here something like “So just barely broken in then” or “That’s like first tune up mileage for a Honda”. And yeah, I have Honda’s break 300k before I sold them, running perfectly with only wear items replaced.

It looks stunning, but it only has 28 CarFax records. Unless all of the service records are provided (which is very likely, considering it has all of the handbooks), I wouldn’t be so interested.

Plus, I have no mechanical knowledge (I learned the purpose of the exhaust system in driver’s ed two weeks ago, if that gives a hint), so if something horrible happened, gotta spend big Benjamins at a mechanic’s place! For those that know how to fix minor issues, this would be a great buy.

And you I think even if they don’t catch your eye, you have to give it to Honda Engineers for what they have done with 4 cylinders. Early 90s Civic Type R NA put out almost as much HP as a similar year Mustang GT with the 5.0. And that Si in my avatar, 197hp ain’t great but man is it fun to hear that VTEC kick in and remind you why more than 200hp to the front wheels is silly!

Not that I love the Honda crowd either. I can’t count how many times in my Si someone would pull up next to me and try to make pulls, slow down and wait for me and try again (rinse and repeat) to get me to race them. Usually another Honda / Acura.
